Steps to Apply for Workforce Development Certificate Students

Apply for SEED for an eligible Workforce Development program (link to dynamic form, which will include list of eligible programs). Programs must be at least 100 hours in length and lead to a recognized academic credential.

  • Submit transcript showing graduation from Delaware high school or Delaware State Board of Education Endorsement Secondary Credential (GED).
  • Submit documentation of eligibility for in-state residency. Students who are 25 years of age or older must demonstrate they have been a continuous Delaware resident for the last five years.
  • Certify they do not have any violent felony convictions and meets all other SEED eligibility requirements.
  • Applicants are also required to utilize any other financial aid, tuition waivers, or third-party payments before SEED.

Upon confirmation of eligibility the student will be notified to enroll, provided there is space in the class. Some programs require that students complete specific pre-enrollment and eligibility requirements, which may include, but not be limited to, application completion, an interview process, and a basic skills assessment.
